Nutrien raises its full-year earnings forecast as company gets boost from surging fertilizer prices

Net earnings rose to $1.39-billion, or $2.49 per share, in the quarter ended March 31 from $133-million, or 22 cents per share, a year earlier.Earlier, rival Mosaic Co, the world’s largest producer of finished phosphate products, posted a more than sevenfold surge in quarterly profit that narrowly beat estimates.
