Inn from the Cold says calls for support have nearly doubled in the first half of the year, relative to the same period in 2021. Between January and June, the organization received about 147 calls per month — up from about 76 per month the year prior. "Currently, we are seeing more situations of families that were previously quite stable and just can't afford rent anymore," said Miller.

Hoping for families that can and regularly pay their rent , without ever missing payments are able to buy somehow. Then house payment can be similar to rent.
