This plant only bears fruit through a tortuous cross-pollination process involving two or more cultivars of the species, and these have to have compatible bloom periods (there are five different bloom periods depending on the variety). Good for farming? yes. Backyard? not so much

I love that phrase 'in absence of government support'. Can we have more, please?
