Prime Minister Scott Morrison says a so-called"hibernation" plan for small businesses will help them share the burden of their expenses during the coronavirus pandemic.
It had been anticipated that steps to protect commercial and residential tenants would be the centre of a national cabinet meeting on Friday.AAP "We want these businesses to effectively go into a hibernation, which means on the other side, the employees come back, the opportunities come back, the economy comes back," he told reporters.
The prime minister confirmed the strategy would underpin a third stage of stimulus to support businesses devastated by the lockdown measures. The details of the"hibernation" plan remain scarce but are expected to involve the underwriting of commercial rents, rates, taxes and utility bills of retailers.
UK renters are not allowed to be kicked out...makes sense to do something similar
This hibernation needs to be backdated.
Thank you
Great spin, details? Business needs something definitive to build their recovery strategy on.
So what is the plan.
Its always about business & never about safety. Insulate PEOPLE instead & business will survive. Business & the wealthy always do. The 1% don't struggle for $$$, food, healthcare, education. You help your mates ScoMo & shaft the people. Duty of Care to us all not just LNP donors.
What about PEOPLE ?!? I don't want to get any more messages like the one I got this morning from a friend forced into unemployment.
Sounds familiar
