GEORGE TOWN: A noodle seller has made a police report after a voice message circulated on social media claiming that she was tested positive for Covid-19.

“It is highly irresponsible to create this fake news and put sand in my koay teow bowl, ” said Toh Lay Kee, who sells koay teow th’ng .

“After the fake news went viral on Sunday, I made less than RM100 a day, ” she said, adding that the amount used to be about RM400 even after the movement control order was enforced. “But the woman in the picture that was circulated was not me, ” she said after lodging a report at the Jelutong police station yesterday.

For the north-east district, he said police would set up roadblocks at locations with heavy traffic flow.
