This is what American work life will look like once we can return to the office

When Discover Financial Services Inc. decided to evacuate its 25,000 employees world-wide because of the COVID-19 outbreak, it did so with military efficiency in just two weeks.

Discover, for example, employs 17,500 people at seven campuses in the U.S., covering seven states.

Business-continuity plans generally aren’t good with events that require long-term recovery, Stephanie Balaouras, a vice president at Forrester and co-author of “Entering The New Normal: How To Safely Bring Your Workforce Back” , told MarketWatch. Tech leaders like Facebook Inc. FB, +2.22% CEO Mark Zuckerberg have taken conservative, long-view approaches. In an April 16 post on his Facebook profile, he said the company has canceled any “large physical events we had planned with 50 or more people” through June 2021. Some of those events instead will be held virtually.

What about elevators?

“the bar for business travel will be significantly higher because videoconferencing services have proved to be effective in bringing people together” The airline industry has to transform even more since they are so dependent on business class fares

Yes for awhile, until the number of cases drops and there are only a few temporary hotspots. All this separation costs $$$ and it will be business as usual ASAP. Special regulations also cost $$$ and they will be pushed back as well. It may take 2-3 years but it'll happen.

What about mens office restroom urinals.😐

You will work wearing a diaper because we will not install more spaced out bathrooms.
