Mark Cuban, the entrepreneur and owner of the NBA Dallas Mavericks, revealed Thursday that he went so far as to commission a poll while exploring a potential presidential run in 2020.
However, Cuban noted his numbers topped out at around 25% overall, and he concluded his run would be too inconsequential to make it worth persuading his family to back a presidential bid.Mark Cuban is not running for president in 2020, but not only has he thought about it — he even commissioned a poll just three weeks ago.
"So I hired a pollster," Cuban told Axelrod, who is now the director of the University of Chicago's Institute of Politics after serving as the chief strategist for both of Barack Obama's presidential campaigns."And this was two weeks ago — three weeks ago," Cuban continued. "And what they found out was, I would take some votes away from Donald Trump, particularly with independents.
Cuban would only run as a 3rd party candidate in November if he wants Trump to win. He doesn’t, so he won’t.
Now his ego is inflated even more?
Don't do it Mark, NO money in it!!
One thing Mr. Cuban and I agree on is an end to political parties. Too many people vote for a political party and not the candidate. Maybe then people will learn about the candidate before voting, but people may not vote at all if they actually had to learn about the candidate.
What we need is a businessman behind the wheel?
We need other choices at this point.
He should just stay home
GO FOR IT.
Tell us what your want to do for America - we are listening, mcuban ..... endpartypolitics termlimits stoppowerabuse
'And what they found out was, I would take some votes away from Donald Trump, particularly with independents.' Sounds like Trump is doing okay with independents.
Gosh I wish he would.
He better be careful on what he runs on. He is as corrupt and has not been loyal. Just like with Trump, so much will come to the media.
I mean, he’d get my vote
Gtfo.
