These companies are full of sh*t. Look at who they hire and have hired the last decades. It's embarrassing to see these companies cater to minorities now and only when it impacts their profits. Silicon Valley is the worst and you're all using their products/services.
They will because it’s the right thing to do and in their financial interest.
Here a couple thoughts, pay people more, provide educational opportunities, childcare and hire POC in managerial roles including BOD. This helps everyone.
Does that mean they're finally going to shut down factories in China and bring manufacturing back to the US to increase job opportunities?
The root cause of 99% of all the things wrong with the world stems from the corporate profit maximization motive & the perpetual growth model assumption built into our economic machine. Both ensure that the wants of the rich are met before the needs of many.
