At the age of 16, Paloma moved from her native New York City to join her familial roots in Chile. She then had a short stint on the country’s, before inspiration struck watching Bad Bunny perform for a captivated audience. It wasn’t long before she released the buzzy bilingual hit “Not Steady,” and from there, joined the ranks of Sony Latin Music, the label that boasts juggernauts Maluma and Ozuna.
It’s a tension that’s not unheard of for Latina-American artists, who, while navigating the music industry while bicultural, can feel pulled in many directions. It’s something the 20-year-old finds she can relate to in one of her biggest inspirations,
