Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain has reportedly died after being hospitalized for coronavirus

Former presidential candidate Herman Cain addresses the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012.Former GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain has died, according to the conservative website Newsmax. He was 74 when he died.

Cain tested positive for the novel coronavirus earlier this month, 11 days after attending President Donald Trump's campaign rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Cain's official website also announced the news in a blog post: "Herman Cain – our boss, our friend, like a father to so many of us – has passed away. He's entering the presence of the Savior he's served as an associate minister at Antioch Baptist Church in Atlanta for, and preparing for his reward.
