Persefoni has created an Enterprise Carbon Footprint score which gives user organizations insight into their carbon footprint with respect to their industry, company size. The AI models built inside the platform provide organizations with data-driven insights and feature suggestions for optimization in the future.
After graduating with an MBA from Arizona State University, Kawamori worked at Accenture, and later, at the age of 27 as a Chief Digital Officer of publicly-traded Chesapeake Energy. There, he met his cofounder and COO Jason Offerman , and Kawamori and Offerman started working on software seed investments as venture partners at the Rice Investment Group.
“As we were doing our research and our diligence on ‘is this thesis really what we think it is’ we went to CEOs of public companies and asked them to validate it,” Kawamori says. “Not only did they say ‘yes this is a need’, but the second thing they said was ‘how quickly can you get this to us because we are getting a lot of institutional investor pressure and we really need an answer’.”
