KUALA LUMPUR: The Dewan Rakyat erupted in chaos after it was revealed that the previous Pakatan Harapan government had allegedly awarded contracts worth some RM6bil through direct negotiations.

said a total of 101 projects, worth RM6.61bil, were approved through direct negotiations under the Pakatan-led government.

Tengku Zafrul was responding to a question by Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan on how many projects were approved by the Pakatan Harapan government through direct negotiations.Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim said that voters in the Slim by-election should be aware of this matter.Lim Guan Eng then stood up, saying that he welcomed the list being released, including the projects that were done through open tender.

However, Datuk Seri Azmin Ali, who was also a former Cabinet minister during the Pakatan administration, interjected and said the list never went through the Cabinet. “I warn all of you, whoever tries to waste time, I will eject you,” he said, before asking Tengku Zafrul to continue with his speech.
