While McAllister recognizes the future of commercial real estate will be different as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, he is bullish on the longevity of office space for several reasons. "The vast majority of their portfolio is devoted to lab space and the supporting office space associated with biopharma research, and their locations tend to be in places where that research is concentrated," McAllister said.
