Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo dismissed comments from Chinese President Xi Jinping as tough talk on Thursday, saying it won't deter the U.S. from its goals.

"We'll do everything we can to make sure that our U.S. companies are treated fairly and are able to have access to the Chinese market," she told CNBC after Xi seemingly targeted the U.S. in a speech.
