Los Angeles resident Steven Demroff was en route to Napa with his wife Renee when they decided to stop in for lunch and some treats to take on the road.
Renee, who got the avocado toast, said the meal was “a treat” and couldn’t wait to get into the chocolate chip cookies she’d purchased for the road. “It’s definitely worth the stop,” she said.Photo Courtesy of Harris Ranch “They’ve really gone the extra mile for us here service-wise,” he said. “We commented to our server last night that we wished our room had a microwave, and she called the hotel during her shift and they brought one up. Not to mention, the food has just been insane.”As the lunch rush died down, I was seated by a hostess at a small two-top in the Ranch Kitchen next to the fireplace, then promptly greeted by the server.
The bun was spongy and warm to the touch, with onions baked on the top. I started typing adjective-laden descriptions into my phone that embarrassingly went like this: “The lettuce was so fresh and deep green I had to take a bite of it on its own. Onion, a ‘Prince’ shade of purple and tomato redder than a Central Valley sunset.”
