Company founder and CEO Zach Mannheimer says 3D-printing cuts costs up to 15% by scaling back labor, materials, and time. The goal, he said, is to revolutionize affordable housing.

— April Stringfield has always wanted to own a home, but she never imagined it would be 3D-printed.

The concrete walls of the three-bedroom house were constructed in less than 30 hours by Iowa-based company Alquist 3D. While there are concerns about displacing traditional construction jobs and some environmental impacts of this method, Mannheimer believes his technology has potential.

No matter how much inexpensive housing gets built in the USA, it’s ownership always ends up in the hands of the landlord class which always charges the highest possible rents.

More people out of work because of technology

why didn't they make it so that people could feed their plastic bottles into the 3D printing system

I was introduced into his platform by a friend I met online Harrismayson0. I thought it was a scam company as well.... But I was moved to try once again with Harrismayson0 I just wanna share this with my people, it was a WIN and i am GREATFUL.🙏🙏🙏🙏 GRATITUDES.

Its cheaper to rehab older homes. Do not demolish older abandoned homes; sell them to homesteaders.

No not time because it takes longer to build a 3d house. It also cost more to heat than a block house. Its a solid wall with no air space.

Sounds like a catch 22. Labor means jobs.
