Motorists have been queuing at service stations since Thursday night.Meanwhile, efforts to retrieve the body of a domestic worker from beneath the rubble at a Durban north home are continuing. She was buried when the home collapsed in on her during heavy rains on Monday.Humanitarian organisation, Gift of the Givers is one of the teams that are on site.
The organisation’s Imtiaz Sooliman says, “Finding the worker under the rubble has been a real challenge on Monday night when the wall fell on the unfortunate individual. The search and rescue team came in the night. It was very difficult to dig. They couldn’t make any progress on Tuesday and negative came from the canine SAPS and they really tried hard but the mud, the level made it very difficult physical manual work. Last night, we couldn’t do anything. There’s a lot of conflict to cut.
