Mr Farquhar said this strategy was now tried and tested, with the business having also hired aggressively during the 2008 global financial crisis.

“In ’08 and ’09, we picked up a whole bunch of amazing staff during that period. The person leading our whole migration from on-premise to the cloud we hired during that time,” Mr Farquhar said.Mr Farquhar said the underlying fundamentals supporting the growth of the technology sector had not disappeared.
