Drawing on satellite imagery, AI, and geoanalytics, the French company’s Carbon Watch can measure CO² emissions by country and sector; and its Methane Watch can detect methane hot spots like the Nord Stream pipeline leaks. In January, Kayrros announced the latter will supply data to the U.N. Environmental Programme. The groundbreaking tools “give organizations access to precise, independent, verified information in close to real time,” says president and co-founder Antoine Rostand.
