The Federal Trade Commission has taken action against two major food and beverage industry groups and a dozen nutrition influencers for failing to disclose paid promotions on social media. The agency sent warning letters to the American Beverage Association, the Canadian Sugar Institute, and influencers with over 6 million followers.

The crackdown aims to hold both influencers and industry accountable for unclear funding disclosures.
