Streaming profits will be critical in offsetting steady declines in Disney's legacy entertainment business.

Disney said that despite "softer" entertainment streaming revenues anticipated next quarter, it still expects its combined streaming business to be profitable in the fourth fiscal quarter and to be a "meaningful future future growth driver for the company.": Disney attributes its streaming revenue gains to subscriber additions and price hikes which helped drive higher average revenue per user for Disney+.
