filed two WARN notices with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry informing the state it is closing its facilities at 1812 S. 12th St. in Allentown and 3740 State Route 136, Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County near Greensburg. The facilities will close on June 30 and 253 people will be laid off.

First Student has been proud serve the communities for years.

Our drivers are the best trained in the industry, and we appreciate the care and dedication they have shown to the families we serve in these communities.”

The WARN Act is federal legislation that offers protection to workers, their families, and communities by requiring employers to provide notice 60 days in advance of a covered-business closing and covered-business mass layoff.
