) involvement in merger discussions with any political party in preparation for the 2027 general election are mere ruse and utterly misleading, the party’s leadership declared on Wednesday, June 5.

In a statement titled: “We Are Not in Any Merger Talks with Another Political Party,” which he issued at the party’s headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday, Ologunagba emphasized that the National Working Committee of the PDP has taken a resolute position that formally forecloses any possibility of a merger with any other political party.

“The public, teeming members of our great Party, Democracy Institutions, and of course the International Community should therefore disregard any report suggesting any form of merger between the PDP and any other political party as such is not in the contemplation of our great party.
