The driver refused to provide deputies with a driver’s license or proof of insurance, then allegedly became combative and was arrested.Armed robbery: At 11:32 a.m., people approached an elderly couple who were on a walk. They swapped the victim’s necklace for a fake gold necklace, then fled in a vehicle.

Theft by false pretenses: Someone contacted a Saratoga resident and remotely accessed their laptop. The thief transferred money from the victim’s bank account for a total loss of about $19,800.Theft: Between 8:30 a.m. and 10:20 p.m., someone walked up to a business in the 14000 block of Big Basin Way and stole a 15-year-old cat.
