The nation's largest sporting goods-only retailer reported strong results from its other businesses: athletic equipment, clothing and footwear. Its sales were not significantly hit in stores where it replaced its"hunt" business with other items.Dick's pulled hunting products, including firearms, out of 10 stores last fall as an initial test. It expanded that test to 125 more stores earlier this year. It still has about 600 stores that sell hunting products, including firearms.
was kind of what we had anticipated. It was less bad, but that's going to continue to be soft as the industry as a whole is soft right now," said Stack. But Stack said the company isn't ready to make a decision about whether to drop the hunt business altogether. One reason to wait on a decision is that the second quarter wasn't the"main" hunt season, which is starting soon, he noted.
No gun sales
They sell sporting goods? I thought it was a sex shoppe. That's why they looked weird when I asked if they kept dildos on the same aisle as fishing rods.
They have turned into nothing but a sports clothing store. I won’t shop there anymore since they made the decision to stop selling guns
Dick’s won’t stop selling guns, this is simply propaganda
No one who supports the second amendment shops at Dick's anymore anyway, so they may as well stop selling guns.

BAN THE GUNS. Save your customer's live's, they will return to your store's, dead people can't.
IF THEY GO THROUGH WITH THIS I SWEAR I WILL STOP BUYING GUNS THERE
I buy at real gun stores....really don’t care if Walmart or Dick’s stops selling slingshots or “weapons of war” 😂
Firearms. What’s the problem with handguns, shotguns, hunting rifles, hunting knives, bow and arrow, crossbow, etc? Eh, Dick’s?
American's should be BUYING FROM LOCAL SHOPS ANYWAY rather than the big box stores. This is NO BIG DEAL. More business for the local owners.
