It is a carefully thought-out vision with key strategic thrusts, 15 guiding principles and 15 key economic growth activities. It sets out the key challenges and provides indicators to measure success.The focus on human capital, big data and Industry 4.0, as well as a unity index and a religious harmony index is needed to maintain peace, stability, progress and prosperity.
I propose that an independent monitoring commission be established with representation from the private sector, civil societies and think tanks. The nation needs to step up war against poverty, bigotry, corruption and waste. There is a need to establish a National Equal Opportunities Commission to ensure fair opportunities for all ethnic groups.The vision should be aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals or UN Agenda 2030.
The SDGs provide a comprehensive framework, where no one is left behind.
