Boris Johnson's £46 million 'Get ready for Brexit' campaign didn't actually help people get ready for Brexit

Boris Johnson spent tens of millions of pounds on a Brexit preparedness campaign which did not actually make the public better prepared for Brexit, the UK's official spending watchdog has found.

Johnson's government budgeted a total of £100 million for a public billboard, newspaper and social media campaign, promoting Britain's then planned exit from the European Union on October 31 2019. The plan was the most expensive of four options considered by the government, with the least expensive option being simply to do nothing.

Can you believe Ministers spent £46 million on a Get Ready For Brexit campaign ? It beggars belief that taxpayers money is squandered when we have poor and homeless families using food banks ! I am incandescent with rage at the thought of arrogant fat cats wasting our money.

Anyone had a reasonable explanation as to why the Government is exiting the European Union against the will of the majority of the population & against the advice of 3 National Security Chiefs & the entire Civil Service & without the consent of N.Ireland, Scotland & Wales tho...
