ViacomCBS investors are accusing media mogul Shari Redstone of forcing through the merger of CBS and Viacom last year to protect her investment in Viacom, according to a lawsuit seeking class-action status.
The 119-page lawsuit, which was filed jointly in Delaware Tuesday by the Bucks County Employees Retirement Fund and the International Union of Operating Engineers of Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware, is a combined version of earlier complaints filed against ViacomCBS.
The Redstone’s leadership of CBS/Viacom has been dismal. Great to see that investors are confronting this nonsense.
Pretty sure everyone knows this and there is likely very little they can do. Not sure it’s totally without merit but a better idea would be to find ways to grow the existing business. Pluto tv combined with CBS assets is a great value. content production at Via was always strong
