Opinion | Stop calling your social distancing a 'quarantine.' By PortiaCrowe

They can only be taken if "strictly necessary" and in response to a pressing public or social need.have been exposed to a communicable disease, but anyone with amedical diagnosis must go into full isolation. That means no contact whatsoever with the outside world in order to avoid contaminating healthy people.

While people only need to quarantine for 14 days to determine if they have COVID-19, isolation periods for those confirmed to have it can last much longer. If you think you might have been in contact with a person who's had the virus, you shouldfor 14 days to see if you develop symptoms. Don't share towels or utensils with anyone, don't have any visitors, and stay at least 6 feet away from others in your household..
