To do this, Robinson recommends challenging traditional workplace norms, accept that not everyone is starting from the same place on diversity efforts, and understand that the leaders on these issues aren't always employees in the C-suite.

It will take time to bridge this "awareness" gap before discussions can evolve into meaningful discourse on steps that are necessary to address the "opportunity" gap and pain points within a company's culture.
