Golf: As pandemic persists, local clubs reopening business share mixed reactions

For now, or until a vaccine is discovered, we need to be more patient,” said Alabang Country Club golf director Henry Arabelo.General manager Raymond Bunquin said the club records 70 to 80 players on Tuesdays to Fridays and 140 on Saturdays and Sundays at the Nicklaus and Palmer courses, well above the club’s expectations.

Aside from the checkpoints, the departure of Koreans has also contributed to Splendido’s slow sales. In the past few years, the club earned enough through Korean golf tour operators.
