DOJ accuses TikTok owner of being 'mouthpiece' of Chinese Communist Party

The DOJ claimed that "US user data being stored outside of the United States presents significant risks in this case," but the section relevant to how this is the case is redacted, according to The Verge and NPR.

ByteDance's head of security previously stated that it's impossible for the Chinese government to access user data from TikTok becauseand thus any data transmission must go through the US government. TikTok did not immediately respond to Business Insider's request for comment regarding the DOJ's claims on Friday.

Let TikTok continue to exist in the US and undermine the national security of the United States. This is what the Chinese government hopes to see.🤦

Far more than that. TikTok is a Chinese malware designed for collection of personal data and information for CCP.

TikTok is just a propaganda tool of CCP

Big companies in China are all controlled by CCP. Please stay away from them.

'Private' companies in China are not like the ones in US and other western countries. In order to do biz, companies like Byte Dance (TikTok) & Tencent (WeChat) hv to show/are volunteerly showing their loyalty to the CCP and committ to exchange any information that the CCP wants.

There should be a global ban on all companies owned by states, organisations, or individuals who violate human rights to the extent that the CCP does BoycottCCP BanTiktok

TikTok tracks your search history, your keystrokes, your location - and shares it w/ china. Chinazi boycottChineseproducts

Regarding the privacy issues, it’s better to ban Tiktok! Such Chinese apps have potential risk for sending the important data and personal information to Beijing. BanTiktok

The role of mouthpieces of CCP is making all US citizens sick, even worse, TikTok's challenge practically risks our US citizens life by disguising TikTok task TikTok is abetting murder. Please ban it immediately for safeguard our youths

Tiktok promotes Chinese propaganda and censors politically sensitive contents. It is a Spyware and mouthpiece but not an app.

Absolute agree, TikTok and Wechat, such technologies from CCP spying infiltration is one of the most crucial threats to US individual citizen and whole US national security. Block them out from US and universal regimes for our own safety

Otherwise, why TikTok would hide the experience of Uyghurs for CCPChina ?

The pot calling the kettle black! DOJ should remember one finger pointing out, three pointing back! DOJ and AG Barr should be accused of being Trump's empire mouthpiece.
