The Finance Minister emphasised that these projections are based on current public health guidance and that if the guidance was to change the deficit would “grow and grow and grow” “The greatest concern that I would have would be the impact that would have on unemployment and the number of people who might lose a job for the second time in the year,” he said.

Possibility of no Christmas bonus for unemployed but no problem with pay rises for td's.
TD's have given themselves 3 pay rises so far this year, and yet no decision has been made on the payment of the social welfare Christmas bonus. They voted straight away with immediate effect for their own pay rises. I am never voting again. There is no democracy in this country.
