Sky News business reporter Edward Boyd has provided an update on the housing market around Australia, saying it seems the market "is building up a bit more confidence" heading into Christmas.
Mr Boyd said that according to Core Logic, the preliminary clearance rate at auctions around Australia's capital cities over the weekend was roughly 74 per cent. "Which is pretty high," Mr Boyd told Sky News. He said obviously stock levels are "still low," however they are "getting better and better".
