US actress Suzanne Somers has died aged 76 following a decades-long health battle. The Three’s Company star died on Sunday, just one day before her 77th birthday, her longtime publicist R. Couri Hay confirmed. “Suzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15. She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years,” Hay told Page Six. “Suzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family.
” Hay said that while the family had planned to come together to mark her 77th birthday, “instead, they will celebrate her extraordinary life”. “ want to thank her millions of fans and followers who loved her dearly.” A private family burial is set to take place this week, with a memorial to follow next month. The news comes three months after Somers’ husband Alan Hamel announced that her breast cancer had returned.
