16 mine workers in court for 2012 Marikana killings via SABCNewsOnline

This follows their application to the high court that charges against them be withdrawn.

Anele Zonke and 15 others are facing charges ranging from murder, robbery, malicious damage to property and the unlawful possession of a firearm. The charges relate to the murder of 10 people during protracted labour unrest at Lonmin’s Marikana mine outside Rustenburg. The State alleges that the accused killed two policemen, two Lonmin security officers, and six non-striking workers.

NPA has physical evidence, footage of Police murdering workers, an open & shut case, sure case to prosecute & get conviction for sure... Instead of starting with such an easy case, chooses to chase after shadows, the tougher case. Begs the question, is it justice sought or... 🤷‍♂️?

Jails are for the poor😑

The mastermind behind the killings won't have his day in court

Mine workers?

Ucyril yena uya nini?

WTF...what about Riah Phiyega, Nathi Mthethwa, Cyril Ramaphosa, etc. Ke masepa feela moo

Aybo when is our president going to court for Marikana Massacre?

matomerocco Matamela will make sure they go to prison

Workers ?!🤔👀 That is supposed to read '16 SAPS worker' or rather 'Police officers'

What about the state and police? Aren't they getting their own appearance? Blame shift Bhekicele2018 ?
