"After receiving feedback from 40 e-hailing companies, the cash aid will be made this April 20 to about 90,000 e-hailing drivers," he said in a Facebook post on Tuesday .
He noted that the aid was in addition to the one-off RM600 meant for trishaw operators including taxi and tourist drivers to be paid this month. So far, he said that 3.2 million or 96.6% of B40 households and 3.4 million B40 singles or 92.3% had received payments of RM3.2bil and RM1.7bil respectively.
He also said that almost 3,000 businesses have applied for Bank Negara's special relief fund for assistance amounting to RM1.46bil.
