The government is ready to reopen salons, spas and massage parlours. However, the hair and beauty industry says this is news to them.

, small business development minister Khumbudzo Ntshavheni said the government was looking to open more sectors as part of a move to an “advanced level 3 lockdown”.

“The protocols are ready — including the rules for sit-down restaurants, hair salons, massage and other personal care services. We are ready to open it up.”

It is amazing that all these sectors that do not pay any taxes are finally disclosing their income. EdKieswetter should be taking note... Salon industry makes R300 bn a year..

Government must just come up and tell us when are the saloons reopening and stop wasting out time telling he is ready to reopen saloons

They are sending Grade R's to school on the 6th of July but closing saloons, where's the logic

They always say they are 'ready'.

Its not like salons are operated by Government. Hairdressers are some of the neatest with properly sanitised tools
