Alexei Navalny, the Vladimir Putin opposition leader, spoke to BILD after surviving a suspected assassination attempt from Russia.Navalny told BILD that the chemical weapon attack on his life shows "that Putin's regime has now really gone insane."
On 20 August, Navalny collapsed on a plane above Siberia. He was taken to a hospital in the city of Omsk. Two days later, he was flown to Berlin. A German army laboratory determined what the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons confirmed on Tuesday: the Kremlin critic was poisoned with the Russian nerve agent Novichok.
