As Nasdaq Hits New High, These Are The Tech Stocks Leading The Market

Though the broader market posted a lackluster performance Wednesday, the technology-heavy Nasdaq closed at a record high for the second straight session, buoyed by a resurgent crop of stocks that led the market at the height of the pandemic but languished earlier this year due to inflation concerns. This year, the top-performing stocks in the Nasdaq's top ranks include vaccine-maker Moderna , Applied Materials and Biogen .The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.2% to 33,879 points—roughly 2.5% below the index's latest high on May 4. The S&P 500, meanwhile, dipped 0.1% to 4,241—ending the day less than 15 points shy of a record close on June 14.
