23 year old Welcome Magoso from KwaZulu-Natal, beat 2 000 contestants to clinch the number one spot in the country in making the mouth watering meat.
The competition, started by a major retailer is now in its 30th year and celebrates a South African braai favourite, wors. Magoso, a first time entrant, went up against nine other finalists from across the country in Cape Town.“It means a lot, and I’m the king of the championship boerewors. I’m so proud that they brought me here and they took my recipe. And Icame here and made the wors, I’m so happy.”
