The next stage of Bishop Ranch’s continual evolution? Housing, says Sunset Development.

The effort to incorporate residential uses into Bishop Ranch began before the onset of Covid, when the developerSunset believes Bishop Ranch’s future residents— hence the 20-year timeline for thousands of CityWalk homes, which Mehran described as ambitious.

Demand for new residential product in San Ramon and the Tri-Valley at large certainly exists, said Chris Neighbor, president of SummerHill Homes. The San Ramon-based developer is amid work to raise 404 homes on 31 acres at Bishop Ranch. Those units are separate from the CityWalk plan.
