An Ontario company has been fined $300,000 in connection with the 2021 death of a contract worker at a gold mine in the province.

Williams Operating Corporation pled guilty in the case in provincial offences court and was convicted last month on Nov. 15.

A contractor was in the process of making sure that there were no people or obstructions in an automated area of the mine where workers aren’t usually allowed to go.

How much should World Cup organizers be fined 🤔

That's cheap, such a fine won't deter future malpractice

Which is a slap on the wrist

Don't hear anything about the families & how WSIB is banking billions deeming disabled injured workers families into poverty.
