We managed to find a place for 2k - because we work with our landlord's dad. It's awful, thanks to foreign investors paying way over value

What isn't being talked about nearly enough is that wages are 20 years behind. Though it probably doesn't matter because companies are sp accustomed to outlandish profit margins that they will just jack up retail amd service prices accordingly. Capitalism is unsustainable.
I live in Brampton…How do all the East Indian do it….they own their houses…drive expensive cars, get food delivered by Uber and most are immigrants.🧐🤔

As a landlord year before, I will never never never rent my house out due to overprotection to tenants by LTB currently. A uncommon sense law is spoiling the rent market!
I work part time, hubby works full time. we don't use daycare, we don't own a car we just rent them when we need one. live near a plaza for everything we need. we have a 3000 sq foot house 4 beds 4 baths, and live quite well.
Contact our fantastic mayor cause he is on the band wagon with affordable housing ! So people like this women should be first in line or maybe him and Doug Ford could foot the bill for a temporary hotel Who ever voted these clowns in you all now suffer cause of it

Housing crisis. Housing crisis. Companies were dragging their heels on wages raises pre covid. It's unsustainable now if you earn under 22/hr. Reasonable housing costs would eliminate the pressure most feel due to our of touch pay. Stop letting speculators buy up housing.

My husband and I, both have great jobs full time, barely breaking even each month paying rent, bills and daycare. Not to mention not even grocery shopping every week.... Make that make sense.
Unfortunately this is happening to many people! It isn't just in Toronto but all over the country.
