Recently, posts appeared on social media claiming that Bank Islam had authorised a company called “FEP Company'' to offer syariah-compliant investment productsIn a post on its Facebook page, Bank Islam said all products, services, websites and social media posts by “FEP Company” have no connection to Bank Islam in any way.
“Verification that any financial institution that is doing deposit-taking is overseen by Bank Negara or that individuals or companies involved in investment activities are being monitored by the Securities Commission can be done by checking at www.bnm.gov.my or www.sc.com.my,” it said.
