La empresa de producción de Robert De Niro, Canal Productions, deberá pagar 1,2 millones de dólares a una exasistente del actor por discriminación sexual, tras un juicio en Nueva York que ha durado dos semanas. El jurado tomó su decisión este jueves tras cinco horas deliberando, según recoge el portal Variety. El fallo hace responsable a la empresa, pero no a De Niro, de discriminar a la exasistente, Graham Chase Robinson, y de tomar represalias contra ella.
La exasistente respondió demandando al actor, que acaba de estrenar 'Killers of the Flower Moon', el último filme de Martin Scorsese. En su demanda, por 12 millones de dólares, Robinson acusó a De Niro de no pagarle suficiente por ser mujer y de darle tareas denigrantes y estereotipadas, como lavar sus sábanas.
