President Trump’s statements that the U.S. is “locked and loaded” to retaliate against those responsible for the attack on one of the world’s largest oil fields is adding to the dramatic climb in oil prices, market analysts said

President Donald Trump’s statements on Twitter that the U.S. is “locked and loaded” to retaliate against those responsible for the attack on one of the world’s largest oil fields is adding to the dramatic climb in oil prices, market analysts said Monday.late Sunday and a weekend drone attack on Saudi Arabia’s massive oil facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais.

Additional tension in the region would cause prices to jump even higher, but the market has not yet priced-in the possibility of a war with Iran, whom Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has blamed for the attack. Congress would have to declare war, and House Democrats are urging the Trump administration to pursue a diplomatic solution, blaming the increased tensions in the region in part on the president's decision to exit the nuclear deal with Iran.

Many analysts are convinced that Trump will not proceed with any large-scale confrontation, said Pavel Molchanov, oil analyst at Raymond James. “The consensus view is that this administration does not want to have the massive economic dislocation that could result from an actual military confrontation, including, for example, a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz,” Molchanov said. “Bolton’s dismissal last week points in that same direction.”

Did everyone forget that the weapons fueling the war on Yemen come from the United States? Are we saying that Iranian made weapons should not be used in the war in Yemen, but bombing Yemen with US bombs is OK? Same shut happened in Vietnam and Iraq. We provoke then blame others

Since we export oil, why the hell is our oil and gas prices going up!!! They shouldn't go anywhere but down. Since we export oil, the U.S. is not affected by another countries oil problems. What BULLSHIT!!! And the worst thing about it is, it has been going on for years!!!

Leave it to Trump to cost me and my grandkids more money. America is nuts to have this crook in the White House.

And some people are going to get much richer because of this...

In Trump-speak, 'locked and loaded” means 'I'll huff and I'll pufff...' Just let the Saudis take care of defending their sovereign country. A lot of countries were affected by this attack. I don't hear of any other world leaders rushing to retaliate.

This was an autocorrect error. It wasn't 'locked and loaded', it was 'mocked and bloated'.

Boy with their toys? Talking tough. This is not a John Wayne movie, 'Pilgrim'.

“Stable genius” huh?

Except...he gas zero credibility. After 3 years everybody knows his bluster and he's acting unilaterally.

Trump LockedAndLoaded

Finally a Strong President!

Let me guess, he has a but load of oil stocks.

This guy won't do shiiiit.

So, Saudi Arabia has the worlds 3rd largest defense budget 67 billion $, and the US has to retaliate for them? They cannot defend themselves from some drones?

Yes, you do need your arms.

His mouth is locked and loaded;that’s why his tongue always misfires

Can you further analyze this? Not really seeing the lineage you referenced here and at best this is speculation to somehow try to blame growing prices on Trump instead of on the factor that 5% of the world’s oil supply was blown up/burned. Kind of a stretch.

I Trump-speak, '

Wait..we sold the Saudis lots of nasty weapons They can fight their own war.. or at least shoot down a drone... Not our party pal

Is he stupid or what
