A £200m contract to implement Brexit checks on goods in the Irish Sea has been won by a consortium of companies led by Japanese company Fujistu.

I’m confused. Why is the government awarding a massive contract re the Irish Sea when they have spent the week saying they’d rip ip the WA because they would never agree to checks in the Irish Sea (even though they already signed an agreement to do exactly that)? 🤷🏻♀️
Is Brexit just a way for companies run by ex government officials, their pals and or families to make some money? Hmmm🤔
