A store owner's husband is recovering after he was severely beaten trying to defend his wife's bakery from being repeatedly robbed in the Bronx.

A vehicle drove off the Henry Hudson Parkway and landed on the Amtrak tracks below, killing the driver and a passenger.

Little did he know he was actually asking the robber's lookout, but eventually, another person came to his aid and called police. This is not a case of police looking for or trying to identify a suspect. They know exactly who he is, and they did arrest him. But 18-year-old Christopher Martinez was released the next day.

Several businesses, including a pharmacy and a fried chicken restaurant on the block, say they've had run-ins with Martinez and worried they were going to get robbed. The manager at the chicken shop said the robber tried to get through a glass door and through the ordering window, claiming he wanted something but never said what.

How do you blame the NYPD for as you say 'letting the criminal go'? Its the liberal politicians, judges and the DA's office that are responsible for him being released. Typical ABC anti police reporting. Get your reporting straight
