Kuala Lumpur: The ruler and government of United Arab Emirates made an impassioned online appeal to some 4,000 registered attendees of Energy Asia to attend their organised 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference or Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC, more commonly referred to as COP28, which will be the 28th United Nations Climate Change conference, to held from Nov 30 until Dec 12, at the Expo City, Dubai, to mitigate adverse climate change and global warming.

A culprit, methane which is a greenhouse gas as is with carbon dioxide, is responsible for much of the global warming woes. Human activity has increased the amount of methane in the atmosphere, contributing to climate change.Methane is particularly problematic as its impact is 34 times greater than CO2 over a 100-year period, according to the latest IPCC Assessment Report.
